Application
Continuous flow sand filters are used to produce river water and lake water into industrial water, as well as wastewater treatment. Flocculation chemicals are added to the active sand filter inlet water, and the front of the filter bed as a reaction medium provides better conditions for the rapid formation of flocs without the need for a flocculation tank. And because the active sand filter equipment has the ability to handle high-concentration suspended solids, the sewage does not need to be settled.
Process water recycling reduces water consumption and makes it possible to control water quality. After sieving and pre-sedimentation treatment, the process water is pumped into the active sand filter, and the filtered water is recycled. The sand washing water is flocculated and thickened, and the water overflowing from the concentration device is returned to the filter again.
The third-stage filtration method of the continuous flow sand filter is used for the final treatment before sewage discharge. If necessary, the contact filtration method can be used, and aluminum or iron salts are used as flocculants to precipitate phosphorus and remove suspended solids. The final treatment result can meet the higher environmental standards of industrial wastewater treatment
The filter medium is ordinary graded quartz sand, and only the biological active sand filter uses special raw materials. Activated carbon filter is a special form of using activated carbon as a medium.
