The operation of the continuous sand filter is divided into two relatively independent and simultaneous processes of raw water filtration and filter material cleaning and regeneration. 1. Raw water filtration
When the raw water is pumped into the water distribution ring at the bottom of the filter by the high-level water tank self-flow or lift pump, it gradually passes through the filter bed evenly through the diversion tank and conical distributor, the impurities in the raw water are continuously trapped, adsorbed, and the final filtrate is from the top of the filter The overflow weir flow is discharged to complete the filtration process.
2. Filter cleaning and regeneration
When the filtration continues, the impurities in the raw water are also accumulated and trapped on the surface of the filter material, and the large amount of dirt interception is the bottom filter material. The compressed air sand extraction device at the bottom of the filter first removes this part of the filter material The batch is quantitatively fed to the top three-phase (water, gas and sand) separator through the sand lifting pipe of special material. The air is discharged, and the water and sand are then cleaned in the connected sand washer. The sand washing water has a separate pipe The discharged, washed sand is scattered again and distributed to the entire surface of the filter bed, which realizes the process of cleaning and circulating the filter material.
