Equipment characteristics
The structure of the Tube settler is the same as that of the ordinary sedimentation tank. It consists of four parts: the inlet, sedimentation area, outlet, and mud collection area, but there are many inclined pipes or inclined plates in the sedimentation area.
In the Tube settler, according to the direction of water flowing through the inclined plate, it can be divided into three types: upward flow, downward flow and planar flow. Water flows from bottom to top through a slanted tube or plate, and from top to bottom through the sediment.
They have opposite directions, and this form flows vertically upwards (also called reverse flow). Water flows down through the inclined tube or the inclined plate and the sediment.
Water flows in a horizontal direction, called horizontal flow (also known as lateral flow, only for inclined plates). Generally, upward water is used for water treatment of plants, and inclined-tube sedimentation tanks having inclined-tubes as components are mainly used.
