Several environmental protection urban design cases are on display in Israel
An exhibition on the theme of "environmental city design and climate change" opened at the Tel Aviv Museum of art on the 18th, aiming to show the important role of environmental cities in coping with climate change.
This exhibition will last until December 15 of this year. There are 35 environmental protection urban architecture and design cases from New York, Chicago, Copenhagen, Shanghai, Singapore and other cities, some of which have been put into practice and some are still under planning.
The exhibition is divided into six exhibition areas with different themes, including climate change, sponge City, anti haze, solar roof, passive house, etc. Among them, sponge city exhibition area shows visitors sustainable urban design ideas with flood control and waterlogging prevention and water resources to promote urban development, and passive residential exhibition area shows efficient urban housing design and building materials concept.
Tanya Kuen uzzieli, director of the Tel Aviv Museum of art, said at the opening ceremony that the exhibition sent an important signal to the audience that climate change should be taken seriously, which will arouse people's thinking about climate change and take positive actions to deal with it.
Ollie Ronan, director of the city innovation and Sustainable Development Laboratory of Tel Aviv University, told Xinhua that people should pay more attention to climate change. In the future, urban design and construction will surely better integrate nature, technology and human beings, so as to effectively cope with climate change.
