Salzburg's amphibious sightseeing bus was criticized by environmentalists
Starting in the spring of 2015, visitors to Salzburg, Austria, can take an amphibious bus to visit the city from water and land at one time.
The amphibious vehicle is now licensed by the authorities. According to Joseph Schweiger, Minister of water resources management of Austria, the boat shaped road vehicle can carry 26 passengers and will travel along the streets of Salzburg and the salchah river.
A tour takes about an hour and a half.
Salzburg is one of Austria's most famous tourist destinations. In addition to many ancient buildings, it is also the hometown of Mozart, the music master, and the shooting place of the Hollywood film "the sound of music".
However, the amphibious bus tourism project has attracted criticism from some environmentalists.
