2006 the gross domestic product of the whole year is 209407 billion yuan, an increase of 10.7% over the previous year. In 2007, the national economy maintained a high speed and steady growth. In 2007, GDP reached 246619 billion yuan, an increase of 11.4% over the previous year. Consumer prices rose 4.8% over the previous year, of which food prices rose by 12.3%. Retail prices of goods rose by 3.8%. Fixed asset investment prices rose 3.9%. The ex-factory prices of industrial products rose by 3.1%, of which the prices of means of production rose by 3.2% and the prices of means of livelihood rose by 2.8%. The purchase price of raw materials, fuel and power increased by 4.4%. The price of agricultural products rose by 18.5%.
