These tiny bubbles adhere to the flocs in the sewage to form an air floating body having a specific gravity smaller than that of water. The air float rises to the surface of the water and condenses into floating oil (or scum), which is scraped by a scraping oil (slag) machine to the oil collecting (slag) tank.

3. The heavier solid particles in the inlet chamber are precipitated here and discharged through the sand discharge valve. The system requires that the sand discharge valve be opened periodically to keep the inlet chamber clean.

4. The sewage enters the water distribution area of the air flotation device, and the rapidly rising particles will float to the water surface; the slower rising particles are separated in the corrugated swash plate, and once a particle contacts the corrugated swash plate, it can counter the water flow under the action of buoyancy.
