Precautions for cleaning of reverse osmosis equipment

1. Attention matters in cleaning system
The cleaning system is generally composed of cleaning water tank, cleaning pump, security pressure device, heating device, flowmeter, pressure gauge, etc. Because the cleaning fluid pH range 2 ~ 12, the material of each equipment on the cleaning system should be acid-base corrosion. The volume of the cleaning tank can be determined according to the calculation of the volume of the cleaning fluid. The pressure of the cleaning pump is generally 3bar_5bar, and the flow rate of the pump can be determined according to the flow rate of a single pressure vessel recommended by the number of pressure vessels X.
A. when using any chemical cleaning drugs, must be familiar with and follow the appropriate safety procedures.
B. When cleaning, the pH range of cleaning solution is 2 12; when the pH of cleaning solution is 2, the temperature of cleaning solution does not exceed 45 degrees; when the pH of cleaning solution is 12, the temperature of cleaning solution does not exceed 35 degrees.
C. After cleaning, high quality water without chlorine and other oxidants should be used to flush the membrane module (minimum temperature > 20 degree). It is recommended to use reverse osmosis membrane system to produce water. The initial flushing should be carried out at low flow rate and low pressure, and the flushing should gradually return to normal operating pressure and flow after a period of time. In addition, the cleaning fluid will also enter the water side during the cleaning process, so the initial water production must be discharged until the water is clear.
2. Pressure drop and cleaning
The pressure drop of a single membrane module should not exceed 15 psi. Excessive pressure drop will cause the membrane module to extend along the direction of water flow, and the phenomenon of telescope or the rupture of the FRP shell of the membrane module will result in the damage of the membrane module. Therefore, during the operation of the reverse osmosis system, the pressure drop of the single membrane module should not exceed 15psi, the pressure drop of the single pressure vessel should not exceed 60psi. Once the pressure drop exceeds, the membrane module should be cleaned in time.
3. Maximum intake limit for cleaning.
Low pressure flushing of membrane assemblies is performed every time the system starts and stops. In addition, during the short-term outage of the system (no more than 7 days), the membrane module can be washed daily with reverse osmosis product water. Note that in any flushing, the flushing water must meet the requirements of the reverse osmosis membrane module, and the flushing flow must not exceed the maximum flow of the single membrane module.
