1. Sodium ion exchanger output reduction
A. Insufficient inlet pressure.
Solution: increase the influent pressure.
B. Upper and lower water cap or nylon net.
Solution: wash the resin or wash the water cap and nylon net.
2. Periodic water production will be reduced.
A. Too little salt for regeneration.
Solution: increase the amount of salt used for regeneration.
B. The concentration of salt solution is too low.
Solution: increase the concentration of salt solution.
C. There are too many impurities in regenerated salt.
Solution: improve the quality of NaCl and soften salt solution with Na2CO3 if necessary.
D. The velocity of salt solution is too fast when regeneration.
Solution: contact time with resin is not enough; control the flow rate of regenerated salt solution;
E. Resin are polluted by suspended solids.
Solution: inlet water should be filtered to clarify; increase backwashing strength, thoroughly clean resin particles; 5% NaCl solution to clean the resin, with pH 3-5 acidified salt solution to clean, with PH10-11 alkali cleaning resin.
F. High content of Fe3+ and A13+ in the inlet water and resin poisoning.
Solution: Pretreatment of raw water to reduce the content of Fe 3+ and Al 3+ and protection of exchanger inner wall with anti-corrosion coating
G. Backwash strength is not enough, backwash is not completed;
Solution: adjust the flow and pressure of the backwash water.
H. The washing time is too long, and the water volume is too large.
Solution: reduce the time of positive washing.
I. The hardness of source water increasing.
Solution: pay attention to water quality, change or replace water source.
3. Chloride exceeded standard in sodium ion exchanger effluent
A. Cleaning time is not enough.
Solution: extend cleaning time.
B. Regenerative electric ball valve is bad.
Solution: replace or repair electric ball valves.
C. Regeneration operation tank salt solution valve or valve is not strictly closed.
Solution: strictly enforce the operation rules.
4. Regeneration agent consumption is high.
A. The total exchange capacity and the working exchange capacity of the resin are reduced due to the long service life of the resin or the pollution and poisoning.
Solution: replace resin, resuscitation.
B. The quality of regenerative agent is poor, and the content of impurity ions is high.
Solution: improve the quality of NaCl and soften salt solution with Na2CO3 if necessary.
C. Excessive backwash flow or leakage of resin from water distribution filter during regeneration of ion exchanger results in too little resin in bed.
Solution: add resin.
D. The regeneration fluid distribution device in the exchanger damaged the regenerative fluid bias.
Solution: repair and replace the regeneration liquid dispensing device.
E. Improper operation of operators or defects in regeneration system were not found in time.
Solution: training and giving
F. Raw water quality changed significantly in a period of time.
Solution: replace the water source.
5. The hardness of the effluent exceeds the standard.
A. The hardness of raw water increased.
Solution: shortening running time
B. The concentration of regeneration solution is not enough.
Solution: increase salt concentration.
C. Resin pollution;
Solution: cleaning the resin, cleaning or replacing it seriously.
6. The hardness of soft water can not meet the requirements.
A. The concentration of sodium salt in or raw water is too high.
Solution: change to two stage softening system.
B. The surface of resin particles was polluted.
Solution: reduce the impurities in raw water and salt solution, and clean the resin.
C. Salt solution valve is not strictly closed.
Solution: repair or install salt solution valve;
D. In the parallel system, the outlet valve of the regeneration exchanger is open or not closed.
Solution: close or overhaul and replace the outlet valve.
F. Exchanger layer is not high enough or running speed is too fast.
Solution: properly increase the height of the exchanger layer or reduce the running speed.
G. Water temperature is too low (below 10 C);
Solution: raise the temperature of raw water properly.
