Control method of foam in sewage treatment
I. Spraying Water
High-speed spraying water can break bubbles. It is the simplest and most commonly used physical method.
II. Adding Chemical Agents
Adding chemicals can solve the bubble problem in a short time, and the operation is simple. But it is easy to affect water quality.
Common dosage agents:
1. Adding chlorine and oxidant;
2. Adding coagulant;
3. Adding defoamer and vegetable oil.
3. Shortening the Residence Time of Sludge
Reducing the residence time of sludge in the aeration tank can effectively control the biological foam in the activated sludge process, and control the biological foam by inhibiting the excessive proliferation or exclusion of the foaming microorganism in the aeration tank.
IV. feeding the loading body into the aeration reactor
In some activated sludge systems, mobile or fixed fillers are added to make some microbes that are prone to sludge bulking and foam grow firmly. This can not only increase the biomass in the aeration tank, improve the treatment effect, but also reduce or control the foam production.
