Environmental protection reports fell by nearly 40% year on year in August

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently reported on the handling of "12369" environmental protection reports in August: 46 271 environmental protection reports were received in August, a decrease of 8.9% annually and 38.1% year-on-year. Among them, telephone, Wechat and online reporting declined significantly year on year.

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, in August, 20 965 hotlines were received, accounting for 45.3%; 18 928 by Wechat, accounting for 40.9%; 6167 by Internet, accounting for 13.3%; 211 by other channels, accounting for 0.5%. Among them, telephone reporting decreased 38%, Wechat reporting decreased 37% and online reporting decreased 19.3% year-on-year.
